INFORMATION CLAUSE

This is to inform that the Warsaw University of Technology and Mr Bartosz Stefaniak, who runs his business activity under the name Bartosz Stefaniak ”Bentus”, jointly process your personal data as Joint Data Administrators (on the basis of the Agreement on Joint Administration of Personal Data) in order to manage the publications system for the journal Reports on Geodesy and Geoinformatics. The Joint Administrators have jointly determined the purposes of personal data processing, as follows:

• Mr Bartosz Stefaniak, who runs his business activity under the name Bartosz Stefaniak ”Bentus”, in order to provide services in the process of reviewing scientific papers;
• The Warsaw University of Technology, in order to use the services, including publishing scientific papers and managing the contents of journals.

The Warsaw University of Technology (as Joint Data Administrator), pursuant to Art. 13 of the Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and to the free flow of the data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (Journal of Laws EU L 119/1 of 4 May 2016), hereinafter referred to as GDPR, hereby informs that:

  1. The administrator of your personal data is the Warsaw University of Technology, with its official seat at pl. Politechniki 1, 00-661 Warsaw – in order to publish scientific papers and manage the contents of journals, for publishing and paper reviewing purposes.
  2. The administrator has appointed the Data Protection Inspector (DPI) to supervise the processing of personal data. The Inspector can be contacted at the email address: iod@pw.edu.pl.
  3. The administrator shall process the personal data to the following extent: name, second name, surname, gender, academic title, telephone number, email, affiliation, affiliation address, date of birth, specialisation, areas of academic interest, photo, address of residence - the legal basis of the processing of your personal data is Art. 6 section 1 letter a of GDPR.
  4. The Warsaw University of Technology has no intention of forwarding your data beyond the European Economic Area.
  5. You are entitled to access your personal data and you have the right to correct the data, the right to demand to delete them, to transfer them, to limit the processing of the data, the right to object to the processing of the data. Since the processing of your data is based on your consent, you are entitled to withdraw the consent at any moment with no effect on the legality of the processing done before the consent was withdrawn.
  6. The recipient of your personal data shall be Mr Bartosz Stefaniak, who runs his business activity under the name Bartosz Stefaniak ”Bentus” with its seat in Poznań, Os. Pod Lipami 14/19 (as the Joint Administrator). Your personal data may be made available to third parties (administrators) authorised in accordance with legal regulations.
  7. Access to your personal data shall be granted to De Gruyter Poland Sp. z o.o., with its seat at ul. Bogumiła Zuga 32A, 01-811 Warsaw (as the processing entity), which has been given tasks related to publishing services by the Warsaw University of Technology.
  8. The Warsaw University of Technology does not use towards you automated decision making tools, including profiling you.
  9. Providing your personal data is not obligatory; however, unless you provide your personal data, you will not be able to submit an article to the editor or to publish articles.
  10. Your personal data will be processed until you withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data or until the expiry of the purpose for which it was obtained, and for the period necessary to secure possible claims.
  11. You are entitled to make a complaint to the supervisory authority - President of the Office for Personal Data Protection if you find that the processing of your personal data violates the provisions of the GDPR Regulation.
